Every puzzle in glosso's Internet IQ test, and how people actually do on it: who solves it, who gives up, how long it takes, and whether men and women differ.
Glosso IQ → an official IQ test, a guess
Worth noticing
Solved counts "I don't know" as not solved. Each person's first answer to a puzzle counts, wherever on glosso they met it (the IQ test, the Cognition Genre survey, or the daily matrix).
IQ to solve is the IQ at which half of people get the puzzle right, from the test's scoring model. IQ here is glosso's puzzle IQ: 100 is the typical glosso taker, not the general population.
Men vs women compares cis men and cis women who told glosso their gender. The bars are raw solve rates. At the same skill asks a fairer question: compared with what each person's overall puzzle score predicts, does one group do better on this puzzle? With 32 puzzles, one or two will look like real differences by chance alone.
The lines through bars are 95% intervals. Any group with fewer than 20 people is left out. Times are for people who got it right; the middle half is the 25th to 75th percentile.
Overall IQ, men and women
Everyone signed in and scored by the IQ test or the Cognition Genre survey who told glosso they're a cis man or a cis woman, with the score they were shown. 100 is the typical glosso taker, not the general population, and the people who take an IQ test on glosso aren't a random sample of men or of women.
